This course takes you behind the scenes of the Persephone collection, starting with the ideas, inspiration, and materials behind the work, before building into the techniques used to create each piece. You’ll see how concepts are developed through mood boards and experimentation, and how hair is shaped and combined with different elements to build structure and form.

What You'll Learn

Shelley begins with the creative foundations behind the collection, describing how her vision was built and how products and materials are used within each piece. She then moves into focused technique sessions, where she breaks down key elements such as creating feathers, working with hair lace, and building detailed structures.

From there, you’ll see how these techniques come together across the full collection, with each look explored in detail. The focus is on understanding how ideas are translated into finished work, so you can begin to experiment, adapt, and develop your own approach to avant garde styling.
